I think you only have 2 or 3 seconds to turn on the TX to bind. Once going these little boats are really fun especially when running a couple at at time.Īlso, the transmitter must be turned on to bind within a few seconds after the safety circuit is bridged either by placing the plugged-in boat in the water, or as you plug in the boat battery if you have shorted the wires of the safety circuit. There is a gyro I think that senses this. The blinking light means its not bound or on a flat surface. This is contrary to every other rc that I own, but there is enough info online to figure it out quickly. I hot wired mine so I don't have to put it in the water to make sure it binds. Battery plugged into the boat and held on a flat surface. Good luck and happy boating!įor whatever reason these boats have to be powered up first. This procedure would also work if you just installed a new control box for some reason and needed to sync it back up. Beware of propeller!ĥ) With remote control OFF, squeeze the throttle full speed.Ħ) With throttle squeezed, turn the remote ON.ħ) Wait for unit to sync and you got a working FT007 again! jump) the little silver water safety contacts at the back. Nothing worked, but this did:ġ) Make sure you have a good charged battery.ģ) Plug battery into the malfunctioning boat.Ĥ) Put the boat in water or otherwise use wet fingertips to bypass (i.e. I read some threads online about how to sync remote with ESC. Aha! Flashing red light must mean remote not syncing with control box. I swapped control boxes and batteries between boats to make sure it was not battery, motor, or rudder servo. It seemed to sync up with remote, but the control box just had a slow red blink. My son had not pushed the battery cable all the way together and I figured it blew the control box (ESC) or something.
